Golden Badger Hunting Safaris – Terms and Conditions for Bookings

Welcome to Golden Badger Safaris in South Africa. We are dedicated to providing a memorable and professional hunting experience. Please carefully review the following terms and conditions governing your booking and participation.

1. DAILY RATES INCLUDE

Our daily rates cover the services of an experienced professional hunter, trackers and skinners, camp personnel, and hunting vehicle. Also included are accommodations, meals (with soft drinks and wine only), daily laundry service, and field preparation of trophies. Trophy transport to a local Taxidermist or Dip and Pack company is also provided.

2. Booking Confirmation and Deposit

• To secure a booking with Golden Badger Safaris, a non-refundable deposit of 50% of the total package price is required. I.E. Accommodations, dayfees, and animals/package
• The deposit confirms your booking and ensures availability for your selected dates.
• The remaining balance must be paid 30 days prior to your scheduled arrival or on the day of departure. Late payments of the deposits may result in cancellation of the booking. The total balance of the safari must be settled in camp before departure in cash or credit card payment.

3. FLIGHTS & TRANSFERS

• We arrange all transfers to and from the hunting area and airport.
• Clients should book flights to arrive at a similar time, as multiple airport transfers on the same day will incur additional charges.

4. Payment Methods

• We accept payments via bank transfer, credit card, and cash as specified in your booking confirmation.
• Bank charges and transaction fees are the responsibility of the client.

5. Cancellation Policy

• Cancellations made 60 days prior to the arrival date will result in a full refund of any payments made, minus the non-refundable deposit.
• Cancellations made 30-59 days before arrival will incur a 50% penalty on payments made, in addition to the forfeited deposit.
• Cancellations made less than 30 days before the arrival date are subject to full payment, and no refunds will be issued.

6. Substitution and Changes

• Changes to the booking may be made, subject to availability, and must be requested in writing.
• Substitutions of hunters or observers are permitted with prior notice. Additional costs may apply.

7. Liability and Insurance

• Golden Badger Safaris accepts no responsibility for personal injury, loss, or damage to personal property.
• All clients are required to have adequate personal, travel, and medical insurance to cover unforeseen events, including but not limited to cancellations, injuries, accidents, and medical emergencies.

8. Hunting Regulations and Ethical Conduct

• All hunters must adhere to South African hunting regulations and abide by ethical hunting practices at all times.
• Any violation of these regulations or ethical conduct may result in immediate termination of the hunt without compensation.
• Hunters must be mindful of bag limits and abide by the laws governing hunting quotas, seasons, and species-specific regulations.

9. Firearm and Ammunition Compliance

• Hunters are responsible for complying with South African firearm importation regulations. Required documentation, permits, and licenses must be in order prior to arrival.
• Ammunition must comply with South African laws, and any misuse or non-compliance may result in immediate cessation of hunting privileges.
• Each hunter must secure an import permit for any rifle they plan to bring.

10. EXPORT OF TROPHIES

• Trophy export and handling fees (including dip, pack, and shipping) are charged by the responsible parties.
• Golden Badger Safaris will assist in coordinating these services but cannot guarantee timelines. Detailed quotes are available upon request.

11. Health and Safety

• Clients are responsible for ensuring they are medically fit to participate in a hunting safari. Golden Badger Safaris is not liable for any health complications arising during the safari.
• Due to the nature of hunting and outdoor activities, clients are expected to take necessary safety precautions and follow the instructions of guides and staff at all times.

12. Guides and Staff

• Our guides are experienced professionals committed to providing a safe and enjoyable hunting experience. Respect and cooperation with guides and staff are mandatory for all guests.

13. Photography and Media Release

• Golden Badger Safaris reserves the right to use photographs and videos taken during the safari for promotional purposes unless the client specifies otherwise in writing before arrival.

14. Force Majeure

• Golden Badger Safaris shall not be held liable for any cancellations or alterations to bookings caused by events beyond its control, including but not limited to natural disasters, pandemics, government restrictions, or other unforeseeable events.

• By confirming your booking and submitting the deposit, you acknowledge and agree to the terms and conditions outlined above.
